This is an antic with a valuable lesson, so do read on.
The antic is short: Madi gave my cell phone a bath by dousing it with a cup of water. How kind! Unfortunately, it immediately died.
The lesson: I had heard that rice will dry out wet cell phones. My neighbor (who had already rescued me once that day when Caleb locked me out) came to the rescue again with plenty of rice. I took the cell phone apart and submerged it in the rice. Approximately 12 hours later, it came back to life. It seems to be working fine now. Remember this lesson if any of your electronics get wet. It's certainly a cheap remedy. Hooray for rice!
